My name is Chaely, and I’ve been immersed in the world of direct sales and home fragrance for as long as I can remember. My dad has been in network marketing since 1999, so I quite literally grew up in it.
In 2016, he helped launch a home-fragrance direct-sales company and led the sales organization to over $1 million in revenue in its very first full calendar year. As a family, we’ve always believed in fragrance that is safe, simple, and smart — and we loved what we were building.
Unfortunately, that company didn’t have the foundation it needed to last. It was underfunded, mismanaged, and ultimately led by people who didn’t operate with integrity. Over time, there were ownership changes, ongoing inventory issues, and a breakdown in trust with the field. Eventually, they stopped paying my dad and the brand partners altogether. What followed was even more disappointing — brand breakoffs, lawsuits, and a complete lack of professionalism.
My dad made the decision to resign on February 15th. The hardest part wasn’t just walking away — it was saying goodbye to a product he truly believed in.
Then, just two weeks later, everything changed.
On March 1st, Scentsy introduced the Solo — and from that moment on, we haven’t looked back.
